Fieldwork Journal

I did my fieldwork at the SPCA from October 9 to November 21. At first, I didn’t know how to take care of dogs or how an animal care center in Canada worked. During the fieldwork, I learned many things, such as cleaning the floors and working with dogs.

Volunteering in Canada was a very valuable experience for me. I could see the differences between workplaces in Japan and Canada, and I learned more about animal care.

I would tell other students that volunteering in Canada is a great chance to learn new things, improve communication skills, and experience a different culture. I recommend this experience because it helps you grow and gives you confidence.
